Eating Disorders Information
To say eating disorders is a challenging illness is an understatement. Clinically speaking, eating disorders are an extreme expression of a range of weight and food issues experienced by both men and women. Causes of eating disorders are multidemensional and include genetics, family background, trauma and our culture's idealization of thinness.   All eating disorders are serious medical and psychological problems with potenitally life-threatening consequences.  Plainly speaking, eating disorders are complicated, complex, difficult to understand and just damn frustrating. BUT THERE IS HOPE..............

I have partnered with Dietician, Kate Yonke, from TRU-U to create the Fox Valley's very first Eating Disorder Treatment Center.   EVOLVE:CENTER FOR HEALING EATING DISORDERS
Evolve offer comprehensive treatment for individuals and their families.  Groups, workshops and seminars are offered in addition to individual and family counseling.  See our website for more information.
